Magic Moments - DIY Play D'oh

Time to get creative with your very own DIY Play D’oh!
Materials: 2 cups plain flour, 2 tablespoons oil, ½ cup salt, 2 cups boiling water, food colouring
Main Learning Outcomes: Developing fine motor skills, creativity and early literacy skills
Steps:

2. Time to make the play d'oh! Mix together your flour, salt and oil in a big bowl
Add the boiling water a little at a time, mixing until you get a sticky dough. You may not need it all!
Leave your dough to cool
Knead your dough on a floured surface.
Split your dough into as many balls as you need for your different colours
Add a few drops of food colouring to each ball and knead until it’s a consistent colour.
It’s play time! Get creative and see what you can make. Now you can play with the dough while you read today’s story.
Tips:
Mix together your food colouring to make new colours. And if you want to keep your models, just bake in the oven at 250 degrees for an hour to harden.
