#Magic Moments- If I Built a Car!

Who doesn’t like to play with cars?
Materials: YouTube, masking or painter’s tape, toy cars and markers. (Paper, paper rolls, cardboard boxes and scissors are optional).
Main Learning Outcomes: Developing fine motor skills, creativity, imagination, and early literacy skills.
Steps:
(1) First, cuddle up with your child to read the story, “If I Built a Car” by Chris Van Dusen. If you don’t have the book at home, you can listen to it by following this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYgqMvE3K2E
(2) Now let’s make our own car track! Using masking or painter’s tape, make a track around a room in your house. Make the centre lines with a marker and if you are looking for added fun, add buildings, bridges, obstacles, road signs and other details as you wish. See the pictures below for some inspiration!
Tips: If you don’t have tape, or you prefer to take this outside, try using sidewalk chalk to make a track in the driveway!
